An Original Idea – Gone National
The idea behind Restaurant Week is a very simple one. The offerings of Newport area restaurants are just too good to not be experienced. More people should have the opportunity to sample the area’s stunning culinary talents – and at affordable prices!
You’ve undoubtedly seen other restaurant weeks advertised around the country – but did you know the idea originated in Newport? The very first Restaurant Week ever, anywhere, was held right here in 2006.
The idea proved so popular that it blossomed into a lively, nationwide movement. It grew so popular here, in fact, that we decided to take it bi-annual, with both a spring and a fall session!
The Newport Restaurant Week 2019 Spring Session is scheduled for April 5-14, 2019, The Fall Session is planned for November 1-10, 2019.
