The staff here seek out new talent every month so you never know when you are going to find something by the next great artist. You’ll find everything from traditional maritime to emerging contemporary art here. The flagship location is located in Newport but they also boast a location in Naples, FL along with a sister gallery is Saratoga Springs, NY. Blink Gallery (89 Thames Street)
The main focus of this gallery is work by local photographer Alexander Nesbitt. You can purchase limited edition prints of Newport and his travel collection, aluminum metal prints, and photoblocks which are mounted on Baltic birch. The gallery also offers a curated selection of Newport-related gifts including coasters and a Newport map blanket. The gallery is open six days a week during the winter with extra hours by appointment.
Bailey Art Gallery (42 Spring Street)
This is the gallery of two artists with their own special style. They both like to work with watercolors and pen and ink. Jane also likes to use pastels while Mike employs graphite. They also offer commissioned work of family, friends, pets, boats, and homes. Many of their original pieces are also available as prints or notecards. Kristen Coates (152 Bellevue Avenue)
The founder of this gallery is an art consultant, painter, and curator who has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and New York Magazine. The gallery presents pieces by her as well as other local artists. The gallery is currently open by appointment but also offers curbside pickup of items displayed on the website.
Seaside Art Gallery (134 Thames Street)
You don’t need to be an art connoisseur to shop here; everyone raves about the attentive and knowledgeable staff. They can help you find a piece that is perfect for you and make framing suggestions. The gallery is open seven days a week.
Fuller Art and Frame Gallery (42 Narragansett Avenue, Jamestown)
More than 75 artists showcase their work in this gallery. The art spans a variety of styles and mediums. They also feature a collection of whimsical hand-crafted gifts for all occasions. With 20 years of experience, they can design the perfect frame for any treasured work of art. The gallery is currently open six days a week (closed Mondays).
