Celebrate autumn and the harvest of the sea at Bowen’s Wharf this October during Newport Seafood Festival 2018! This beloved annual Rhode Island event is attended by upwards of 10,000 people each year. Newport Seafood Festival is held on the waterfront at historic Bowen’s Wharf every year. With its mix of dining, shopping, 18th-century commercial buildings, and a busy marina, Bowen’s Wharf is always a fun place to visit. This is doubly true during the Seafood Festival!
Like the name says, Newport Seafood Festival’s focus is fresh, local seafood. Cafe-style seating will be set up throughout Bowen’s Wharf for the festival’s cornucopia of food. Fish tacos, lobster rolls, fried calamari, oysters, and so much more. Neighboring restaurants and local fishermen get in on the act with lobster dinners, clam chowders, stuffed quahogs, clam cakes, shrimp, and scallops.
Thirsty? Signature cocktails, Whaler’s beer, soft drinks, and water will also be available. There will even be non-seafood fare for those who prefer it. Kettle corn, doughnuts, and other sweets round out the options.
Newport Seafood Festival is more than just delicious food, however. Attendees may attend live cooking demos at the Eating with the Ecosystem tent on Market Square. Live music is also a big part of the festival and both days will include live soul, surf rock, blues, and more.

11am – 1pm: The TeleDynes – Surf Rock
1pm – 3pm: White-Eyed Lizard Band Caribbean energy
3pm – 5pm: The Copacetics – Reggae and Ska
