The Preservation Society of Newport County
will be offering five different venues this year. Returning from last year is the guest favorite, the Newport Mansions Three Mansion Passport. New for 2010, the Preservation is offering, to participating NIBBS members' guests, the Premium Tour, the Newport Flower Show(6/24-26), the Newport Five Mansion Experience, and the Newport Mansions Wine and Food Festival(9/23-25). Check participating member Inns and B&Bs for special packages that include these attractions.
The Newport Restoration Foundation
presents Rough Point, the oceanfront home of Doris Duke; collector, philanthropist, world traveler. Tour her home as a welcome guest, and experience the life of the 20th Century Heiress. Located on Newport's exclusive Bellevue Avenue at 680. On display now, Dressed to Play: the Sporty Style of Doris Duke. To reserve a tour, contact your NIBBS participating member inn.
The International Tennis Hall of Fame and Museum
Discover the history of tennis, and the fascinating stories of its legendary stars. Experience the interactive museum, play on grass courts, and enjoy the stately architecture of this National Historic Landmark. NIBBS will be offering several event packages and tickets, which will be available to guests through our participating member inns and B&Bs for the following events: Campbell's Hall of Fame Tennis Championships (7/4-7/10), Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, as well as other events. Tour tickets and vouchers can be purchased daily from your innkeeper.
The Newport Dinner Train
All Aboard...!Welcome aboard the Newport Dinner Train.Step back in time as you ride the rails with us along beautiful Narragansett Bay on a nostalgic trip down "Memory Lane" when dining aboard a first class coach was a statement of elegance and privilege. Guests staying at participating NIBBS member inns recieve a free seating upgrade and an additional discount.
Newport Storm Brewery and Thomas Tew Distillery
Located at 293 JT Connell Rd in Newport, RI, Newport Storm Brewey and Thomas Tew Distillery is open for tours and tastings from 12-5 Weekends and Weekdays – closed Tuesdays. Newport Vineyards
Newport Vineyards is the largest grower of wine grapes in New England and is recognized as a landmark attraction in Newport County and continues the tradition of growing quality wines on preserved farmland. We are pleased to announce that participating member inns and B&Bs will be offering guests a voucher, good for a tour of the vineyard, a wine tasting, and a souvenir logo wineglass to commemorate their visit to Newport County.

Classic Cruises of Newport
NIBBS is pleased to announce that we will be offering, through our participating member inns, sailing adventures and harbor cruises on Classic Cruises' schooner, the Madeleine (daytime and sunset), and their Roaring Twenties Rumrunner, the Rum Runner II, where you can enjoy the East Passage express in the afternoon, or the Smuggler's Cocktail Cruise, including complimentary beverages, in the evening. Classic Cruises is proud to offer Rhode Island's own Black Duck Rum during this event.
Sight Sailing
NIBBS will be offering, to guests of participating member inns, sailing vouchers for Sight Sailing's day and sunset cruises. Whether it's one of their relaxing daily sailing cruises in Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay, a private charter with friends or a corporate outing, Sightsailing has the boats and staff to make it happen. Each of their boats offers a different sailing experience.
Firehouse Theater
Firehouse Theater continues to deliver quality entertainment to the community year round. They mount their own productions and offer a performance space for other groups in the region in an intimate (49-seat) theater Off Broadway ~ at Four Equality Park Place, Newport, Rhode Island, performing on Fridays & Saturdays at 8 p.m. and on Sundays and Thursdays at times appropriate to the season.
Easton's Beach and Snack Bar
Fun in the sun at Easton's Beach! So, pack your beach bag and pay a visit to Newport's finest, Easton's Beach. After a day of fun in the sun, take advantage of their "famous" twin lobster roll special offered at the Easton's Beach snack bar, along with a selection of other luncheon items, including hto dogs, hamburgers, and fries; open for lunch and dinner. Newport Waterfront Events
Let the fun begin! The 2011 Newport Waterfront Events schedule is set and they’re soaked with exciting new acts, foods and festivities galore (plus a few old favorites, of course!) The 27th Annual Secret Garden Tour
The tour will take place from June 17th to the 19th, from 10am to 5pm each day. It will take you into the hidden gardens of the Historic Point area of Newport, where you will be able to marvel at beautiful gardens, both perennial and formal rose gardens. Not to be missed by anyone who loves flowers and gardening. Tickets are available through our participating NIBBS member inns and B&Bs.
