Summer isn’t the only time you can tour Narragansett Bay! You can book a Newport Seal Watch Cruise or Lighthouse Cruise with Save The Bay right now!

Save The Bay has made their Nature, Lighthouse, and Seal Watch Cruises available October through April for over 15 years! It might seem like an odd season to get out on Narragansett Bay but it’s actually a great time to go!

Nature, after all, doesn’t have an off-season. All you lose by coming to Rhode Island during the winter are the crowds of other tourists. Rates are down all over the island during this season. So you’ll save some money but the wildlife, scenery, and lighthouses are all still here!

Save the Bay’s Newport Seal Watch Cruises will take you out on historic Newport Harbor for 360º views. You’ll view seals resting on Citing Rock off of Rose Island and the Newport Bridge while learning all about the area and wildlife from one of our guides.

Save The Bay offers both one-hour and two-hour seal tours. The two-hour cruise includes a tour of Rose Island Lighthouse!

Save The Bay also offers Fall River Seal Cruises during this season. The Fall River Seal Cruise is a scenic, 75-minute boat tour down the Taunton River into Mt. Hope Bay. Our expert guides will help you spot the visiting winter harbor seals and other wildlife. You’ll also learn interesting facts about the region’s environmental issues and rich history.

No matter what tour you’re on, Save The Bay will provide binoculars, should you need them.

Save The Bay’s mission in their name: protecting and improving Narragansett Bay. Their hope is for a healthy Narragansett Bay that is accessible to everyone, with water that is swimmable and fishable. Their advocacy and community outreach includes education, special programs, and tours like these.

So come out in the New Year and enjoy a Newport Seal Tour. It’s a win-win!
